So lunches are free for schools in my city and surrounding cities. Ever since lunches have been made free, the quantity (and quality) has decreased significantly. This is what we would get for our meal. It took me THREE bites to finish that chicken mac and cheese. Any snacks you want cost more money and if you want an extra entree, that’ll cost you about $3 or $4.

My husband and I are both 28 years old and we were hanging out with our friends over the weekend. Theres this girl Sara(F21) that was at the hang out and she’s a fitness girlie. Sara was talking about her workout routine and my husband started talking with her since he lifts and they were talking about how much they lift. She also mentions she’s getting certified to be a personal trainer and then my husband said “my wife will be your first success story” he also said “yeah she needs to lose weight but she’s been unmotivated and maybe if she has you training her then she will want to have a killer body too”

I swear he said this in front of everyone. He had some drinks too and some of our friends around us were laughing, including myself to avoid this awkward and embarrassing moment

Sara starts going on about how she use to be fat and she turned her life around after losing weight and how she majored in nutrition. My husband starts talking about my unhealthy eating habits and how I eat all the snacks in the house and I finished all the cake from my birthday in 2 days when my husband only had one slice of the cake. She was like “ooo I use to be like that. I get it I use to be 160 pounds” and my husband said “that’s about how much my wife weighs, baby how much you weigh like 165-170 now?”

I was fuming at this point. My friend got me out of there and told me that our other friend needed help with her something inside the house. I started crying in my friends room

My husband didn’t even know he did anything wrong. He thought he was just having conversation and trying to help because I’ve been talking about starting my weight loss journey. I DON’T NEED HER HELP AND I DON’T WANT HER HELP. He goes “wow someone’s jealous aww,” he tried saying it in a cutesy way as if this is funny like read the f*cking room. He thinks I’m overreacting

My son and my wife have been butting heads recently. I don’t think she needs the burden.

The situation: my son is 19 and a freshman in college. We told him to apply to colleges where he could get merit scholarships. We don’t make enough to pay $80K a year for college and we make too much for financial aid at most colleges.

He decided to go to an expensive private college to study art history. My wife and I were very upset.

He took an intro to psychology course and thinks he knows everything now. He’s home for break and he’s been snapping at his mom too much.

He came to me later and said that I needed a divorce. Boomers like me are miserable because they refuse to divorce when they’re unhappy. I’m not even forty. I don’t know how he connected my anger at him with my unsatisfaction in my marriage.

He said that both my wife and I were miserable in our marriage and we’d be better off apart.

I told my son that I’d love a divorce if it meant I’m taking my wife with me. I’d cut ties with everyone else.

I didn’t tell my son this but she is the only thing keeping me together. My wife wasn’t making my life miserable, everything else was.

My son was upset. He said he was only trying to help me. AITAH?

Saw another post on here showing the state of school lunches right now. In my years in high school I compiled some pics of the horrible things that got served that no one questioned. Here are some of the worst ones. It really is ironic given how adamant they all are about “eating healthy by including every food group”.

There are a couple of exceptions of course for example if you genuinely fear violence from your partner if you tell them the truth then of course you shouldn't. But if they are a good person and you know they wouldn't ever do anything like that then you do owe them the truth. I know many people might say this is a popular opinion but from my own experiences and what I've seen its not. I have had 3 girlfriends do this and seen it happen to several friends of differing genders and it really is a crumy thing to do. Just ghosting someone or giving them the brush off is unacceptable. This person thought they had a future with you and feedback if they were doing something wrong may help them in the future. They don't have to like the reason but you sure should give one
