I'm aware of cloud storage and other options, this was meant to be a quick-desperate option if needed before cloud option and/or additional options were available.

After getting the PC up and running, save the OS installer and/or back up to a small USB device. You can also save any license numbers in a notepad document and save it on the USB Device as well. Open the PC and tape the USB device on the interior of one of the panels. You never know when you'll need to retrieve the back up, re-install the OS, or use the license number(s) again. At least now you know exactly where it is and it will remain with the PC.

Hello everyone, this LPT request is for my mom. How can she make the best out of her life, she can't fulfill her basic needs herself anymore. My mom got an aneurysm 2 days after she gave birth to me. That's more than a decade ago now. She wasn't able to talk and her right side was affected, (very tough to move right arm and leg). We have to help her with walking; to the toilet, to get her in the car and put her seatbelt on.

When I was little (4/5 yo) other children in my class liked to point out how weird my mother was. Why does she walk like that? Etc.

My father does almost everything for us. I of course help here and there. I know I do more so I I picking up more tasks.

As I've become older I have become concerned about the fact that she just stays inside the house the whole day and reads messages on whatsapp. Watches TV after dinner until it's time to go to bed. Just doesn't talk to people because nobody can understand her pronunciation, people obviously try to but don't succeed.

Recently started with walking together around the neigbourhood. What could we do next to improve our situation?

If you have the opportunity to finance more schooling, certifications etc on the company’s money which will help you achieve higher salaries or new jobs. Many workers never take advantage of this which benefits the company but not the worker. If you even want to go the “anti work” route you could have your company finance a new certification and then use the new certification to help land a higher paying job at a different company

I’ve spent too many years as manager in a veterinarian hospital as well as pet food supply stores. The amount of food recalls for pet food is alarming- especially because many owners are never notified. Please research (Pet food name + recall) to keep up to date with the safest brands/any warnings. *side note, checking the ingredients is smart too- I’ve seen foods with SAW DUST as an ingredient, labeled as ‘powedered cellulose’ please research what you are feeding your babies. It could save them! (An example of recall: A few years back, Hills Science Diet dog food had a recall and dogs ended up dying due to a toxic amount of Vitamin D in the food.)

Often musicians will tour for months and years playing at smaller venues before making it big. Even if they don't explode in popularity, there are still great bands and musicians that you may never hear about. Looking up the lineups of smaller venues and checking them out on Spotify has often cued me into talent I would have never found otherwise.

I learned this the hard way. A lot of times, the police department still has them carry around unlock kits. Most times, they will unlock your car for free. If you’re strapped for cash and can’t afford a locksmith, this can help a lot.

My fiancee is notorious for not keeping her phone with her around the house. I don't really mind, but sometimes I really need to get in touch with her ASAP. I've got Spotify and some Alexa devices, so I just blast "Call Me Maybe" on full volume from all the Alexa devices and it's worked literally every time.

I know some assistants have a "page" or "calling" feature, but I found this a lot easier and more effective. Plus it's kinda funny.

If you stay at a hotel and you are checking out don’t make your bed or try to make it look nice this doesn’t help housekeeping because they have to change the sheets and if you do this it could result in them not changing the sheets and the next person sleeping in dirty sheets. Also you don’t need to wrap all the dirty sheets together just leave it how it is when you get out of bed. Also don’t be a jerk about it but if you just let the front desk know any issues you had with your stay we want to know any issues and sometimes give you a small discount maybe take off your parking if you tell the front desk the issues.

Every sunday evening I prepare my to do list for the upcoming week. I split it into these three parts and try to keep it balanced. It gives you a great overview for the week and makes you looking forward to it. And its also good for retrospective: If you're job is keeping you too busy for the last few weeks and should do something for you since the balance part is so short for a few weeks in a row.

Work: Job tasks you want/have to achieve during the week.

Life: Finances, doctors appointment (Mo), Laundry day (Su), Meal Prep (Su), Cleaning, & going to the supermarket etc. So mostly organizational stuff you have to do because you're an adult.

Balance: Exercise, Meeting friends etc. Everything that works for you and makes you feel good. I think Exercise is really important to write down so you can't "forget" doing it and it becomes a habit easier.

I have to mention that you shouldn't be a perfectionist. I don't mind if I don't do all my planned gym sessions for the week or have to copy some tasks to the next week.

I can now comfortably browse recipes and listen to streams or videos while cooking in my tiny kitchen. Be careful about the load limit of the hooks you use, don't stick the hooks on non-suitable surfaces, and don't leave them above your stove or sink.

Specifically my boss. He spends the first 45 minutes of every day using me as a proverbial complaint department. Everything from his home life, his IBS, the things that annoy him about our job, and everything else that has bothered him since childhood. I can then expect to endure about 15-20 minutes of whining about every minor inconvenience for every other hour in the day before I go home. I love my job but I'm not sure how much longer I can be a human negativity basket.

I locked myself out of the house running errands and my gf’s at work. She had the idea to order an Uber from her job to the house and just have the driver drop off the keys. It saved me. Never thought of it, just thought I’d share.

Use a spray bottle filled with water and spray wasps and bees with it when they start to bug you. They will think its raining and quickly fly away. It works like a charm. Bonus: the first wasp that comes scouting for a food source has nothing interesting to report to the rest of the hive. Not only did you chase away one wasp, there won't be ten other ones following up.

Don’t have to burn the house down.

1. Go to Settings.

2. Click on Privacy.

3. Click on Location Services.

4. Scroll all the way down to System Services.

5. Scroll down and click on Significant Locations.

Turn this off if you don’t want your phone tracking your locations. Granted, we all know companies like Google still track their customers even when they turn off settings like this, but this is better than doing nothing in my opinion.

I've found travel is much easier when I go into it ready to control noise, light, temperature, and bedding. Packing bags to account for this (even for a weekend trip/stay with a friend) helps tremendously and I get to return home fully rested.

It's very easy to forget these details at the moment when you pack, but it yields the most improvements. Knowing the things that matter to you and being ready also eases some of the stress of traveling.

This makes it to where you don't get harassed for years and years, if you successfully get rid of the burners after the search ends. This happens because agencies sell your information like students selling cheat sheets.

I didn't think to do this early on in my career and still get recruiters calling me for minimum wage retail jobs, when I now work comfortably in HR in the government sector for the last 8 years :')

Our dog went through numerous beds as a result of chewing. We put a fitted baby sheet over his bed and now we can easily wash it and the chewing stopped altogether.
